It's all Going Wrong!
Who'd run a sports team???? Just to let you know, problems afoot. I still only have six for Sunday's game at Toton Sycamore. In addition to that woe, we don't have a pitch at either Thoresby or Clipstone for the games against Coddington on 25th July and Luxfer Gas on 8th August owing to cup matches. I am trying to get a pitch for those games, but as usual, clubs aren't very forthcoming. As a last resort, they may have to revert to away games or be cancelled if those teams can't host :-(

Footitt Strikes Down Aussies
MPCC reject Mark Footitt had a reasonable day at the office today when representing Derbyshire against Australia taking the wickets of Michael Clarke, Mitchell Johnson and Ben Hilfenhaus. If only he could have replicated that form for MPCC his future could have been so bright..................

Westminster Commitment Needed
I am now looking for a firm commitment accompanied by full payment for the trip to play Westminster Police CC on Thursday 23rd September. The cost is £30 (non-refundable) per player which is due no later than 8th August. The price includes return mini bus travel from MPS, fuel contribution, a game of cricket and a shared (twin) en suite room at Jury's Inn Watford. Naturally most of you will want an early night after the game but maybe there will be the opportunity to squeeze a quick pint in before everyone retires to celebrate the end of another season of misadventure.
Stats Updated
The stats are now updated to include Sunday's game against Bingham. I have decided to include the data from the abandoned game against Woodborough as it seemed unfair to everyone, particularly the bowlers, not to. Match report from Sunday to follow...........
